Admission Requirement at TSHU

Welcome to The Shepherd’s House University! We are thrilled to assist you in understanding the basic requirements for undergraduate and postgraduate admission into our esteemed institution. We believe in providing a transformative educational experience that nurtures your intellectual growth, personal development, and spiritual formation.

1. Undergraduate Admission:

a. High School Diploma or Equivalent: To join our undergraduate programs, you should have successfully completed your secondary education and obtained a high school diploma or an equivalent qualification recognized by The Shepherd’s House University.

b. Application Form: Begin your journey by completing our application form, which can be found on our university’s official website. This form will gather essential personal information and academic details necessary for the admissions process.

c. Standardized Tests: As part of the application process, we require applicants to submit scores from standardized tests such as the SAT or ACT. These assessments gauge your readiness for college-level education and help us understand your academic strengths.

d. Academic Transcripts: Submitting your official high school transcripts is essential. These transcripts should provide a comprehensive overview of your academic achievements, including the courses you completed, grades received, and any honors or awards earned.

e. Letters of Recommendation: We value insights from those who know you well academically. Therefore, we request letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, or other individuals who can speak to your academic abilities, character, and potential for success.

f. Personal Statement or Essay: We want to know your story and what motivates you to join our university. Write a personal statement or essay that highlights your interests, goals, experiences, and why you have chosen The Shepherd’s House University as your academic home.

g. Extracurricular Activities and Achievements: Active engagement in extracurricular activities, community service, leadership roles, or notable achievements outside of academics demonstrates your holistic development. We encourage you to share these experiences with us.

h. English Language Proficiency: For international students whose native language is not English, demonstrating English language proficiency is important. You can achieve this by taking tests such as the TOEFL or IELTS.

2. Postgraduate Admission:

a. Bachelor’s Degree: To pursue a postgraduate program at The Shepherd’s House University, you should have successfully completed a relevant bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Your undergraduate degree should align with the field of study you wish to pursue at the postgraduate level.

b. Application Form: Begin your application by filling out the appropriate form for your desired postgraduate program. This form will gather personal information and academic details necessary for the admissions process.

c. Academic Transcripts: Submit official transcripts from your undergraduate institution, which provide comprehensive documentation of your previous coursework and degree completion.

d. Standardized Tests: Depending on your chosen program, we may require standardized test scores such as the GRE, GMAT, or other relevant exams. These tests help us assess your readiness for advanced study and specialization.

e. Letters of Recommendation: We value the perspectives of those who can speak to your academic capabilities, research potential, or professional experience. Therefore, we request letters of recommendation from professors, employers, or professionals who can provide valuable insights.

f. Statement of Purpose: Share your aspirations and academic journey with us through a thoughtfully written statement of purpose or research statement. This document should outline your academic and research background, career goals, reasons for choosing The Shepherd’s House University, and your intended area of study.
